As is always the case with the out-of-power party, Democrats have to root root root for bad news. And no bad news source is better for the Democrats' election prospects than the bad news from Iraq.Niiice. We call that the liberal media.

Hey, Guess What?
Democrats want troops to die in Iraq!!! How do I know this? ABCNEWS has the story!
Representing Pennsylvania
Senator Santorum is from Pennsylvania, but of course, he doesn't live there. He's the ultimate insider. News this week that he gets more lobbyist cash than any Senator in the nation:
Don't worry, Rick, if one of your children were to die, you can always take the child home to show it to the other children. That's normal.
The race between Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) and State Treasurer Bob Casey Jr. (D) turned nastier and more personal after Santorum and his wife accused Casey’s campaign of prowling around his Pennsylvania home.Children at risk. Good one.
“We are writing to express our outrage regarding the actions of your campaign, which have put our six young children at a serious safety risk,” the Santorums wrote in a letter to Casey, who polls show is leading Santorum in the fall matchup.
The Santorums alleged in their letter Friday that a Casey campaign “operative” was snooping around their home in Penn Hills, near Pittsburgh. The Casey campaign denied any involvement, and Penn Hills Police Chief Howard Burton told The Hill nobody was seen trespassing on the Santorums’ property.
The accusations began Tuesday, the day of Pennsylvania’s primary, when Ed Vecchio, husband of the chairwoman of the local Democratic Party, told KDKA, the local CBS affiliate, that Santorum did not live in Penn Hills. Democrats have charged Santorum with bilking Penn Hills’ school district to pay for his children’s schooling in Virginia.
According to KDKA’s website. Vecchio said, “The house he’s registered to vote out of is vacant — no curtains, furniture, nothing in there. It’s been abandoned for over a month. So I feel it’s my right to contest his vote.”
Don't worry, Rick, if one of your children were to die, you can always take the child home to show it to the other children. That's normal.
Lack
The lack of posts has been due to my lack of interest in the news these days. I'm in a lull. We're in a lull. Part of it may have to do with me getting laid a lot more often these days; the internal buildup has subsided, maybe. I guess that's why hockey players don't have sex during the playoffs.
The real reason is nothing ever changes. Plus, after I do the radio show on Sunday nights, where I get to just spout for 2 hours, I lose the desire to start writing posts. I still read the news, but now find it all to be a bunch of bullshit.
The other day I was reading a story in NEWSWEEK about gas prices, and car sales in America. Actually, it's more like truck sales. One would think the sales of SUVs would have fallen now that gas prices have soared. One would be wrong. Sales are up over 125% this month from last for the new Cadillac Escalade. Show me ONE PERSON USING THAT FOR WORK! Of course, former White House Chief of Staff Andy Card just picked up a new Caddy truck, according the the article. Very concerned about the environment is Card.
Sidenote: Is there a hip-hop artist who cares about the environment?
Point is, SUVs are flying off the lots these days. There's a 23-1 purchase ratio for SUVs/Hybrids. Sales of Hondas Accord Hybrid (which only nets you an extra 5-10 miles per gallon) have slipped. People are buying the trucks. Wealthy people are buying the trucks. Wealthy people, like Andy Card, are buying the trucks, and at the same time clamoring for more tax cuts. Are the red staters buying these SUVs? Don't they support Mr. Oil President? There's a disconnect. Wealthy people aren't sweating the increase too much. It's the cost of a few extra lattes per week. Middle America, where people drive long distances to work, they are sweating this. Some how they're not concerned with the gas price too much, but tax cuts, oh so important. Unaware they're helping to fund the purchase of a luxury SUV. Retarded.
You'd think the media would be able to paint this picture, which is the point of this rant. They don't. Why not? Well, the media, those on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, whether it's the news anchors or the program hosts, they're rich! They have money. Are they going to tell a news story, ripping the SUV, when they're driving them? What % of people you see on CNN (forget Fox) drive gas guzzling cars? These hosts have producers, and the producers know not to upset the apple cart. If they give them copy mentioning how bad SUV drivers are for America, and how gas guzzling luxury cars are ruining the environment and supporting terrorism, these people won't be writing copy anymore.
THE NEWS PEOPLE ARE THE RICH PEOPLE, WHO ARE THE RICH PEOPLE BUYING THE SUVS. They're not affected by the gas hike. They're not going to tell a real news story, connecting the dots.
This is what bothers me. So rather than write it out every day, I just rant about it once a week. Hence, the lack of posts these days.
I'll try to get back on the horse. But right now I'm just to fixated with what a shit job Mike Dunleavy did coaching the Clippers in the playoffs. Why I care? No idea.
