Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., resigned from Congress on Friday, effective immediately, in the wake of questions about e-mails he wrote a former teenage male page......of course they did.
ABC News reported Friday that Foley also engaged in a series of sexually explicit instant messages with current and former teenage male pages. In one message, ABC said, Foley wrote to one page: "Do I make you a little horny?"
Foley, as chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, had introduced legislation in July to protect children from exploitation by adults over the Internet. He also sponsored other legislation designed to protect minors from abuse and neglect.
"We track library books better than we do sexual predators," Foley has said...
Foley's aides initially blamed Democratic rival Tim Mahoney and Democrats with attempting to smear the congressman before the election.

Do I Make You Horny?
About as much as Katherine Harris did...
The B.S.
Last night on Lawrence Kudlow's show he basically called Hillary Clinton a liar, after he quoted the 9/11 Report saying that President Clinton also received a Presidential Briefing claiming bin Laden would hijack planes. Therefore, he and Bush are not equal in ignoring the threat.
That could not be less true.
Sure, President Clinton received a briefing with regard to hijacking US planes, but that's completely different than Bush's August PDB which stated bin Laden would hijack planes and FLY THEM INTO OUR BUILDINGS.
Prior to 9/11 it was assumed that hijackers would take the planes, and make demands. Historically, that's what they did. President Clinton's PDB didn't state they planned on flying them into buildings. President Bush's did. Clinton was engaged in the threat, and came up way short. Bush wasn't engaged in the threat, period.
It's as if the slate is wiped clean once Bush came into office, and the entire intelligence gathering process starts over. It's as if Bush doesn't get the benefit of Clinton's 8 years in the job. Besides, if President Clinton had announced bin Laden was going to do this, and then beefed up the airports, conservatives would say he was wasting our money, and trying to change his legacy...

Again
I've been away, and have so much to say...just not today. Tomorrow for sure.
I hate Republicans. I really do. To pass a bill giving President Bush the right to torture solely so they can win midterm elections is just horrific. It's probably the worst thing they've tried to do in 6 years, and Democrats are going to let it happen. Unbelievable.
These supposed Dems would rather be viewed as having voted to be tough on terror, rather than doing what's right. Meanwhile, they'll NEVER get credit for having voted for this bill. The party as a whole will still be considered weak by those who actually think that regardless of today's vote.
Where is the backbone of the left? Please, do something, for once. Don't fear losing.
Digressing bigtime...the UFC fight between Matt Hughes and BJ Penn is right here. Such a battle. Not the decision I had hoped for.
Til then...
