James A. Baker the Dirt

Hey, everyone, get hard! James A. Baker III has a plan to clean up Iraq! This should excite you to no end. Afterall, if it wasn't for this huge piece of shit we wouldn't be here in the first place!

So, I guess on some level, because he gave us Bush Jr., he should be responsible for fixing this mess, or blamed on some level.

Regardless, it doesn't mean jack shit. Basically, the current Bush is so inept he was instucted to send someone who has a modicum of credibility. In addition, W. Bush probably assumes that since he pulled off the absurd feat of making him President, anything is possible.

I hope he sleeps well knowing that in many ways, because of him, we're in Iraq. Stupid fuck.

Idiot Christians

Yep, I said it.

And what I mean is the evangelicals of the world who dish their money out to this televangelists, in the hopes of being saved. Pretty ridiculous.

I know I'm not breaking new ground when I take up this topic, but there's a few things that came to me the other day I needed to expound upon (while I watch Roland Martin's bass fishing show. So exciting!).

Is it at all surprising to anyone that the fiscally conservative, yet immoral Republicans, support the same causes as the Baptist/evangelical ministries? Why is it that all the conservatives who believe in smaller government also happen to believe abortion is wrong? Just a coincidence? No fucking chance. What we should call it is opportunism, since afterall, that is the crux of the conservative movement: regardless of the issue, if they can capitalize on it, they will. For those who aren't so concerned with religion, as long as they can "keep their own money," they'll support anything. Money is the only thing that matters. For those who believe that Jesus is the savior, and abortion is sinful, well, being in bed with the greedy is also fine. They both managed to convince themselves that the other group's cause is one they should support in order to accomplish their own aims.

So I'm walking down a New York City street the other night thinking about how ridiculous these crazy Christians are. Those who give away their money in bulk to evangelists with no accountability, and who have jumped on the train against giving money to their own government, which actually has to be accountable to them through elections. Now isn't that retarded? Then they find out one day that the evangelists is actually a closeted fag, who lies through his teeth. Of course, this man in conjunction with a radio personality who backs the other half of the movement, preaches about imorality, and is a heavy drug user. Jesus would be so proud of your support these types. Both types responsible to nobody but themselves. Both taking your hard earned dollars. Christian fucking idiots.

Of course there's the conservative Congress, who truly don't give a shit about God, and if they do in the slightest it's solely so they can repent for the sins they commit. Solely so they can be seen as church going, but in truth are often racist and greedy. The church, like it provides cover for thousands of gay preechers, provides cover for the greedy congressman. Good times.

Why in the world do these Christians think it's a good idea to not pay taxes to the Federal Government, who spend their money openly, but think it's smart to give it to a ministry, who does not? Would Jesus care about where/who you gave it to as long as your intentions were good? If that's the case, why wouldn't you give it in droves to a federal government who you elect? I hear about church movements to help the poor. Why would you be for a party that cuts education spending which pays for after school programs, and is again lifting all ships? Are you that dumb that no many how many of these crooks get caught with their hands in the cookie jar, that their words convince you of their good intentions? I'd have to assume the answer to be yes. Afterall, you listen to greedy evangelists, and you throw money at them, while your world never changes.

Dumb fucking Christians.

Paying taxes, if you have the means to, should be viewed as the best thing you can do; not a burden. You'll give your money away in droves without any proof the money is being used for a real greater good. You give your money away in the name of the lord, as if he cares in what way you're giving. You support conservatives who have gone to jail, taken bribe after bribe, started unwarranted wars, and yet that doesn't bother you. Paying taxes, probably less than the money you throw away without proof that it's working, is a bad thing.

Great call. Smart people. Really, smart people.

Does anyone think it's a big leap for these evangelists to give money to families of those whose children killed doctors performing abortions? Do the math.

Feels Like a Recount

The First Issue

No sooner than 15 minutes after I arrived back in New York from Columbus, OH, did I get a phone call from my boy Baum asking how I felt about "Michigan being #2 in the polls..." Well, I knew it was coming, so I don't really care. Plus, I think USC will beat Notre Dame, and that should nullify this entire argument, regardless. But lets say Michigan and Ohio State do play again, how will I feel? Probably not that great.

It feels like the Florida recount because it's like we won, and then have to go back and play the game again. I already did my celebrating! I attended the "Game of the Century." I already told 200 Michigan fans, "Congrats on your morale victory!" It's OVER! It Happened! Done!

Does the media really want to see this game again? Do the fans? I'm sure the state of Michigan does, but anyone else?

Hopefully USC beats Notre Dame (and they will), and none of this should matter. Then Ohio State will have beaten the 3 programs everyone talks about now: USC, Texas, and Michigan. This following the ass-whooping we put on Notre Dame last year in the bowl game.

The Second Issue

After Ohio State wins theres bound to be a car flipped, and a couch on fire over on South Campus. And "No, I did not see any of it..." The school is HUGE. I don't hang in that area.

An annoying Michigan fan said to me, "What are you going to do now, burn your couch?" I said, "No. But I might kick your ass."

I don't want to condone couch burning, or car tipping. And I am clearly not going to defend the hick morons that do thise things. However, when the Lakers win, or the Bulls in Chicago, or the Red Sox in Boston, and the Pistons in Detroit, fans riot. Ann Arbor is not in a city. Ohio State is located in Columbus, which is a HUGE city. So, when OSU wins a bg game there's a real good chance SOMETHING is going to happen. That thing usually happens in the same place, every time. Not really a big deal.

The Game

Great game all around. Wish Ohio State played better, but what can you do? Michigan hung in there, and took advantage of the opportunities we gave them. It's as if State tried to lose, but Michigan could not do enough to win.

For Ohio State QB Troy Smith to play as well as he did, with that much pressue, was just unreal. It was probably harder for OSU to play at home than it was for Michigan. The pressure to win was all on the red team, and they did. That cannot be overlooked. Michigan held the lead for 6:25 of the first quarter, and that's it.

The turnovers were brutal. I think it was nerves.

Both teams couldn't tackle, but Michigan's tackling was worse.

Michigan's DBs are bad, flat out. Leon Hall, the best CB in the country? PUHLEASE. He wasn't even the best DB in that game! And their safeties, talk about bad angles and bad tackling.

If Ohio State does happen to play Michigan again, the game will be different. This time they won't make mistakes, and the pressure will be lessened. The second game they'd win by 10, at least. If it happens, it happen. Just gives Troy to go down as one of the greatest college QBs to ever play, if not THE GREATEST.

All in all, a good time. But I know for sure the next few weeks will feel like Florida in 2000.
