Where to Begin?

I have so much to say that I don't even know where to begin, so I'll just write 1 post while trying to hit on everything.

First, "Not so much..." Enough already. Every fucking person, "Not so much...not so much...Uhhhhhhh, not so much..."

"You know, I keep hearing everyone say 'not so much.' Where'd that come from?"

"I've always said that," replies everyone.

No, you haven't. I've known you. I've never heard it. Is it Ali G? Is that who says it so now EVERYONE says it? Every radio host, every random person, my girlfriend, her friends. Everyone says it.

Please, get your own hook. "What's your scene, guy?" That's my hook. My friends use it, "so much."

Second, now that we're engrossed in a Superbowl I could give two shits about, I should say, I've been working for AOL Radio on radio row at the Superbowl. Highlights were my hug with Chad Johnson, being in a three-way convo with Marcus Allen and Warren, and telling Frank Gore, "I always knew you'd be sick..." Outside of that, it's pretty average. People are so starstruck. For me, not so much.

But I have been paying attention to more sports because of it, and oddly enough that sport is basketball. The whole Lebron/Wade thing has been big down here, so I've been watching NBA ball. I'll say this: If Steve Nash was a quarterback he'd be the best one of all time. The guy is fucking ridiculous. One on one he doesn't beat about 90 players in the NBA, but running a team, it's not even close; the guy is the MVP of the NBA, every time.

His team plays exactly like him, and he plays the best game possible in this era. An owner gets so much more value out of his players because Nash is on the floor. It's so awesome to watch.

Third, our President is so fucking dumb......still. The other day he gave a speech on the economy/tax cuts. I heard commentators regurgitating what he said down on Wall St, and claiming it was the "right message." For all I know, it may have been the right message. The problem isn't the message. The problem is he has no fucking clue what the message is. The guy reads a "message" someone else wrote. Now I know other presidents have read other speeches, etc. But there's no way in hell this guy has any idea what he's talking about. I'm hearing someone else's message delivered by a guy with a loose grasp on the English language. It's not the message. It's the messenger. There's no way he has any knowledge about the issue he is speaking about, AND THAT'S THE PROBLEM. At least people beleived Reagan MIGHT know what it was he talking about. This guy, no clue. Just words.

Finally, I have to make it personal.

My girl is dealing with serious issues at work, and it really brings me down (and her). All I want to say is this:

When your job is going bad, and you feel you're being judged, don't fret. Think about who it is that's judging you. People work so hard to do the best they can, but so often you're judged by people who have either kissed serious ass, been in the right place, known someone, or done things you would never do. Never fret about being judged by people you don't respect. It sucks to not get credit for hard work, and not receive rewards for that work, but fuck it. Chalk it up. Live to fight another day. Don't let the judgements of people who don't deserve your respect bring you down. It should make you stronger.

I was never down about being fired from my last radio station after achieving great success. I knew hacks fired me. I knew people who fired me couldn't argue a point with me, and win, while I slept. What bothered me is the other people I let down along the way. Chin up, chest out, and do what you know is right. Don't let losers and goose-steppers tell you who you are.

Yeah, cheese-dick and typical, but fuck you, it's how I feel.

...not editing.
