FUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHCK!!!!!

I am praying ESPN is wrong about all 3 Buckeyes going to the NBA. Actually, I only care about 1 of them, and that's Conley. Oden, I guess I expected him to be gone, but prayed he'd stay. Cook, he's a jackass. Granted, crazy ability, but there's something wrong with him. But Conley, sheezus, if he stays he has the chance to be the NUMBER ONE PICK next season. He's THAT good. If he learns to shoot, forget it, he's a better pick than Chris Paul.

Wow, such pain I'm feeling.

I think this rule that kids have to goto college for a year might help the players, but honestly, it kills the fans. Had Oden gone pro last year, and Conley and Cook came to OSU, in all likelihood they'd be at OSU for 3 years. Now, one and done.

Eff someone.

More Awesomeness

Think about every meeting you've had since October. If someone reminded you of that meeting, would you be able to recall it? Is there a single moment of your life, since October, that if reminded of it, you would not remember it? I do not have a single moment since October that I could not remember if I was reminded. Not one.

But then again, I'm just your average, regular guy, citizen. I'm not the lead attorney for the United States. Apparently, he doesn't have the memory the rest of us...

OR

...maybe he's just a huge fucking liar?

Your call.

No, Really?

ESPN's Todd McShay has a column about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers desiring Calvin Johnson. No shit. I know of at least 30 other teams that covet him as well. Afterall, he's the best WR prospect, uhhh, since, uhhh, EVER?!?!

But, even with that said, I don't even buy it in a sense. I never believe a single team's claim to a particular player before hand. Why in the world would a team show their hand on any level? If I were a GM I'd send out hundreds of mixed messages.

Regardless of all this, Calvin is clearly the best player in this draft, followed by Joe Thomas. There's a reason Wisconsin had the season they did, and he's most of that reason (inexperienced RB, and average QB). Other than these two, total crapshoot.

I'm of the opinion that Tampa Bay is just saying, "Yes, we'd love it if the best player in this draft fell to us at 4. That'd be fantastic..." But in truth, Tampa Bay could be and should be adding to the hype because this team NEEDS A QUARTERBACK! Unless you can somehow mold together the best qualities of their 9 QBs, they have no future. Chris Simms, aka, their future, is garrrrrrbage. This team loves to build defense, for sure, but they can use an identity right now. Whether or not Gruden wants to deal with it, this team needs a Brady Quinn in the worst way. It buys them time, it sells them tickets, it does things that the best WR does not do, regardless of how much better he is. It's not like Tampa is on the cusp of being good cause they're sooooo not. They need the All-American QB, for sure. If he fails, so be it, but they need him, and want him.

When all is said and done, I think the Lions take Quinn at two cause they cannot afford the risk that comes with developing Jamarcus. They've been failing way to much in the draft with Kev Jones, Mike Williams and Charles Rogers. Quinn, while to me is a decent to good QB, is less of a project.

This will leave Tampa in a weird place if Jamarcus goes 3rd because they do not nee a RB, and will be forced to take a defensive player...OR...jumping on a WR early.

So, we'll see.

If Quinn is there, he's theirs.

Pfff

I know why they did it, but it doesn't mean it's not ridiculous:
James E. McGreevey, who resigned the governorship under a cloud of scandal, has a new job teaching law, ethics and leadership at one of New Jersey's public colleges.

He's going to touch the lives of many people, especially the men.

Awesome

As 33 living people are killed because of their policies they enact a policy aimed at those not yet living.

Seriously, this place is AWESOME.

First Mock

I need a break from some of the newsy stuff, so I call back on my second favorite internet hobby (first being porn, obviously), the NFL Draft!

This will probably be my first, and only mock draft. It will undoubtedly be wrong because there are always trades, but if there are no trades, this is how I predict it.

PLAY
1) Calvin Johnson Ga Tech (WR) Oakland Raiders -- He's the best player. How can they pass on?

2) Brady Quinn Notre Dame (QB) Detroit Lions -- He's got potential, and Detroit cannot afford a crap shoot

3) Adrian Peterson Oklahoma (RB) Cleveland Browns -- Player who will surely get hurt, and Cleveland will feel pain again

4) Jamarcus Russell LSU (QB) Tampa Bay -- I'm told they don't need a QB. Please, check the roster of scrubs.

5) Joe Thomas Wisconson (OL) Arizona -- Protects Matt Leinart for a decade…or so this OL busted team hopes.

6) Gaines Adams Clemson (DE) Washington 'Skins -- First and best defensive player on board. They could use the pass rush.

7) Jamal Anderson Arkansas (DE) Minnesota Vikings -- They too could use the bigtime defensive pass rush.

8) Amobi Okoye Louisville (DT) Atlanta Falcons -- Former Louisville coach selects one of his own

9) Greg Olsen Miami, FL (TE) Miami Dolphins -- They lost McMichael, and need so much. But this is a great fit.

10) Ted Ginn Jr Ohio State (WR) Houston Texans -- Need a RB, but Ginn makes them scary on the outside.

11) Alan Branch Michigan (DT) San Francisco -- He's huge.

12) Leon Hall Michigan (CB) Buffalo Bills -- They want Olsen, but will settle for another Big Ten DB

13) Patrick Willis Mississippi (LB) St. Louis Rams -- Players they want gone. Willis is small, but their division isn't a grind. Plus, LBs stink.

14) LaRon Landry LSU (S) Carolina Panthers -- They'd prefer someone else, but he's the best available and fills a need.

15) Darrell Revis Pittsburgh (CB) Pittsburth Steelers -- They need a corner, and I can't see them choosing a LB in the first round, esp. from FSU.

16) Marshawn Lynch California Green Bay -- Hoping future QB Adam Rodgers can tame this Cal talent.

17) Adam Carriker Nebraska (DE) Jacksonville Jaguars -- Jack Del Rio chooses toughness over other characteristics

18) Lawrence Timmons FSU (OLB) Cincinnati Bengals -- Feel like players from FSU are destined for Cincy

19) Robert Meachem Tennessee (WR) Tennessee Titans -- Great talent, who had shitty QB throwing him the ball. VY needs this.

20) Levi Brown Penn State NY Giants -- They need someone to protect the franchise QB. LB can be addressed later.

21) Reggie Nelson Florida (S) Denver Broncos -- They could use some pass rush, and a DB.

22) Dwayne Jarrett USC (WR) Dallas Cowboys -- Because they're dumb.

23) Dwayne Bowe LSU (WR) Kansas City Chiefs -- Finally, a WR you can legitimately draft in fantasy football

24) Chris Houston Arkansas (CB) New England Pats -- They turn potential into stardom. I expect the same here, and they need a corner.

25) Jarvis Moss Florida (DE) NY Jets -- They need a CB, and a WR, but this guy can help replace Abraham.

26) Paul Posluzny Penn State (OLB) Philadelphia Eagles -- Penn State fans love him, and it's somewhat of a need. Could use another RB and WR

27) Aaron Ross Texas (CB) New Orleans Saints -- I hate DBs from the Big 12, but they need someone and he could be there.

28) Brandon Merriweather Miami, FL (S) New England Pats -- Great talent, and again, the Patriots have a way of controlling their players.

29) Joe Staley Cent. Michigan (OT) Baltimore Ravens -- Ogden will not be there forever. Good replacement who plays right away.

30) John Beason Miami, FL (OLB) San Diego Chargers -- Could use a LB, or a Safety. Need for a WR is overblown with Vincent Jackson coming on.

31) Justin Harrell Tennessee (DT) Chicago Bears -- Need depth at DT. Without it they were killed last year when both players were gone.

32) Lamar Woodley Michigan (DE/LB) Indianapolis Colts -- It's a slight reach, but the Colts need DL presence, but no DT warrants the pick.

AND, the Raiders select Stanford QB Trent Edwards with the first pick of the second round.

If the Raiders do not take Calvin Johnson I will be stunned. These two QBs on top of the board are overrated for sure. Johnson is the best WR prospect possibly ever. If you were to tell the league that Terrell Owens was available, with a positive attitude, and a great work ethic, would they pass? Well, that's what Johnson is.
