Nice

Wait, wait, but we like RUDY NOW!!!!!!!

Thought

I went to the Beastie Boys concert in Central Park the other night, and while I wasn't blown away, they still got it. I think it was more me than them, or the heat, or the sound system, or the huge tools that make up a major part of their Central Park fanbase. Not sure what it was, but they were good overall, and it was fun.

So I'm standing there thinking to myself, "Man, these guys have been around since at least 1980, right?" Right. 1979 to be exact. Yet here they are, still grinding it out, trying to make good music, being worldly, etc. etc.

Then I get to thinking about The Police. A band that was extremely talented, yet highly annoying. They just had their reunion tour, or, they're still having it, whatever. The Police are charging $300, more/less, to see them play at an average level. Now here we have the Beasties playing at a high level in Central Park and McCarron Pool in Brooklyn for 50 Bucks!

The lesson here is: If you stop playing music, and your skills decline, and your fanbase gets older, and you're sorta lame, well, you can charge at least 6 times the amount of money to see a show in a huge stadium then you could if you never stopped working, pushing, producing and playing, and then played in a small venue somewhere in New York City.

Totall makes sense.

Awesome

I love this from:
"I always admired the fact that a person who was relatively comfortable in life would be willing to take off one uniform and put on another to defend America, and the best way to honor that commitment of his is to find out the truth, and I'm confident the Defense Department wants to find out the truth too and will lay it out for the Tillman family," Bush said.
But I just couldn't bring myself to actually do it...

Bonds

I love how Barry Bonds wears a cross in his left ear when he's not playing.

Checkout how big he is when he hits his 400th and then his 500th. Pure comedy.

Why does San Fran embrace this guy, a city supposedly so against the "lies" in Washington, yet when it comes to sports they're seemingly more than willing to embrace the liar of sports. Remember, he's an example for the children.
