Sometimes it's a Character

I got an email from someone who apparently read the Facecrack post, and who took offense.

Listen, most of what I write is how I feel, but sometimes it's more of a Super-Me, so to speak, or a character. I certainly have those feelings, but I'm writing to have fun, as a writer, per se.

There's usually an overall point to what I'm writing, even if the words themselves do not seem serious, are too serious, or are just abrasive.

My advice: Relax. If you're coming to my site to get serious then you've arrived at the wrong location.

School Debates

I remember in high school and college our teachers would give us the argument, the side we had to take, and force us to argue it. Looking back on that idea: it's a bad one. I say this now because there's no chance Terry McAuliffe believes Hillary Clinton's idea of a cut in gas taxes is a good idea. NO CHANCE.

I just heard this guy on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell, and he was vehemently in favor of it. Of course, Mitchell had to throw in this little quip, "And we should point out that as a Senator in Illinois, Senator Obama supported this idea."

"Exaclty," said McAuliffe, "and now it's strictly political."

PUHLEASE!

It's political not for Obama, but for Clinton!

Also, because Obama voted for something, he has actually put his name on the line for something that DID NOT WORK. That's a credit. We tried it, it didn't work, so now I have a different opinion.

Here we are criticizing this guy for not having experience, and yet he has experience on exactly this very issue!

The Clinton Team may have lost my primary vote at this point, had the election been today.

Stop arguing a point just because it's the side you chose. Admit that economically it is wrong, but it's an idea you support because people need it. Don't bash economists and experts. We just had 7+ years of that.

Reverend Wright

The man will not stop!

Ask Yourself This

For or against McCain, whatever.

If you were going somewhere at night, would you let him drive?

Why not?

Exactly.

Polls

Show Reverend Wright comments have little affect on Obama voters, which is fine. I just want to see how America handles this guy's comments, McCain's guy, when the media starts to discuss that.

Oh, wait, they won't.

Whenever I'm in Florida I come across this clown, and I am fixated on it. Shocked this is being watched by millions.

Perfect Take

On Erik Ainge from the Star Ledger.

Whether he pans out, or not, isn't relevant to me since he's a 5th rounder, but this is exactly why you draft this guy. Plus, they're right, he does have a very good arm.
