Yesterday I spent 4 minutes listening to the nearly unlistenable Sean Hannity on the radio. It's amazing this clown has minions. Truly amazing. It's not even his opinions that are awful (wait, they are awful), it's just that he's not good. Limbaugh, he's good. Boortz, he's good. Savage, he's good. But this clown is terrible, and hearing him discuss the "windfall tax" issue yesterday is embarrassing.
(FUKUDOME JUST HOMERED!!! 3-0 Cubs!)
Lets discuss this rationally...the oil thing.
If the countries of the Middle East manufactured thumb tacks, and not oil, do you think we'd be in Iraq? Of course you don't. Wait, do I see a hand? One of you thinks we'd be there? Ha! That's funny. Now ask yourself why we're not uprooting every dictator around the world who doesn't have oil. Okay, okay, I don't want to make you think. Just believe me: we would not be there if there was no oil in Iraq. It's a fact. So yes, it's a war about oil, per se.
Now I'm not saying if a country like Iraq is on some level holding the United States hostage by controlling oil that you should never start a war with them. I whole heartedly have nothing against pushing Saudi Arabia to the brink, and having them get inline. I'm just saying, and most others are as well, that Iraq was not a problem for us, and the whole removal of dictator/democracy in the Middle East was fucking nonsense, period, the end. It was about oil. It's about oil.
So we're discussing the issue of "windfall taxes" because oil companies are cleaning up while the rest of America is getting cleaned out. I know some people want to make this about "big business" and "liberals hate profits", and some other shit like that. But come on, how dumb are you? I know Sean Hannity isn't that dumb. He's a profit whore. He supports senators and politicians who get money from oil companies to keep them in office. In return he creates geese for these politicians, and profits himself. It all works. But he's not that dumb. Wait, strike that. He might be that dumb because he's terrible. Rush, Savage, etc, they can't be that dumb.
Back to windfall profits/taxes.
No one is saying TAX GOOGLE! No one is saying TAX MICROSOFT! No one is saying TAX TROPICANA ORANGE JUICE! TEITELIST! GOODYEAR! NIKE! KLEENEX! The prices of all these things have gone up, and no one is saying tax the shit out of them to pay for things. But lets be a honest for fuck's sake.
AMERICAN TAX PAYERS ARE PAYING FOR A WAR THAT BENEFITS THE OIL COMPANIES!
There are a few types of businesses that benefit from the war, and no one benefits more than oil companies. We are there for oil, and on some level that is okay (in and of itself. It's not okay how we got into this war, etc). These oil companies are cleaning up because we're in Iraq, and it should be incumbent upon these oil companies to start paying for the fucking war. THAT'S WHY THEY SHOULD BE TAXED.
Many people within this here administration come from oil, and believe it's ok to fight a war over oil. Many of them will go and work for oil companies, like our President has. It is their worldview that oil is worth fighting for, and it is their friends who are profiting.
THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE PAYING FOR THIS WAR! Not you, not me, and not every American that is paying more for EVERYTHING because of the war, and because of oil. The oil companies, the companies profiting from the war, should be paying for it because we're there more so on their behalves than anyone else's. Not GOOGLE. Not Microsoft. Not INTEL!
OIL COMPANIES SHOULD BE TAXED TO PAY FOR THIS FUCKING WAR.
How dumb are you to not see this?

It's a Horse
The horse didn't want to race. It was apparent as soon as he came out of the gate. He supposedly wasn't that great, relatively speaking, in the first place.
Story over.
The only thing that sucks is I had no internet access because I have bet on the underdog the previous two races. EFF!
