Tired or Tirade?

I do not think I have ever defended Dana White for something he has said, and I am almost as sure I have said many things as bad as he is, often in a manner that has no relevance to the actual words themselves.

For example, if I say "man, that guy is such a fucking dick!", I don't really mean that he's a 6 foot penis. If I say "that woman really is a cunt bitch.", I don't mean that she's a four legged animal shaped like a vagina.

Now if I say "that ass fucking homo faggot" then I probably am saying something to the effect that the person I am speaking about is someone I do not like, and I am pointing out that I believe one of the characteristics that makes him weak is his being gay. In this case, being gay, would be in my opinion, at the time I said that, a fault. Even if I didn't really believe that, making this statement, would mean I probably had homophobic tendencies, and believe, on some level, that being gay is a flaw. IF I said THAT.

However, if I was to say, "dude, you are such a fucking faggot, it's ubelievable..." I don't think you could jump to the conclusion that I'm a homophobic person, or that I think being gay is a weakness, a sin, or anything perceived as negative. "Faggot" is probably the first cuss word I ever used and got away with. Without even really considering the meaning, I used it as a kid. More likely than not I said "fag", but whatever, it has always been a harmless adjective, allowed on the radio, tv, print, and anywhere else.

"Fag" derives from the word flag, and like a flag it points out something hanging loosely, like a flag, or, I guess, the hand of someone who is gay, I guess. Whatever the case, certainly not terrible. In fact, having spent enough time around those who are gay, I've heard it used MANY times. No different than the way certain blacks, or now, other minorities use "nigger", or "niggah", I should say.

Is the subject, Loretta Hunt, gay? I mean, had Dana called her a nigger, would the NAACP be on his ass, or would the comment just make no sense at all? He'd probably be in more trouble because nigger is clearly a more derogatory word than fag, for sure. Again, I was allowed to call someone a "fag", or in my case, on the soccer field, it probably went like this, "fuck you you fucken faggot..." Yeah, I was 12. And no, I didn't think the kid was gay.

POINT BEING, the word faggot is merely an adjective to describe someone in no particular way, unlike kike, nigger, spic, wop, etc. It's just added to sentences in the heat of battle, meaning nothing in particular except to show someone's displeasure toward something.

If the GLAAD is so offended by the word "fag", then they should make sure their supporters don't ever use it. In fact, they should move to outlaw it all together. A cigarette in England is called a "fag." If a cigarette in England was called a "nigger" or a "kike", believe you me, groups would be motioning to get it changed, outlawed, or banned. Fag, however, is viewed much more simply, and hardly a big deal.

The uproar over this entire thing is ridiculous, and for any member of any rights group arguing otherwise, you are being overly sensitive. You have managed to draw more attention to the word itself, and have made it more derogatory just by making waves over this.

I'm tired of this type of shit, and think it's ridiculous. This is one of the bigger issue/non-issues I've seen a while.

And to ESPN, it seems you only post Mixed Martial Arts stories when something bad happens. Yes, I know you thrive on bad news, everyone does, but it's RARE you post anything positive, like someone doing something interesting. But as soon as someone does something bad, front page news. To that I say, you can suck my balls, which depending on who has chosen to read this is either an insult, or something that gets you excited.

BeLOW Me.

Nothing about the first U.S. president in history bowing to a racist, antu-semitic, homosexual, misogynist camel jockey?
