Your Kid

I have a friend, he has a wife, they have a child.

I have never seen this child in person.

We are "friendly."

I did not attend their wedding. I have not been to their apartment. I do not know either of their phone numbers. We have never been out to dinner. We once had drinks 3 years ago, pre-child.

Every month, on the 1st or 2nd day of that month, without fail, his wife feels the need to send me all of the photos taken of this child from the previous month.

Not to be a dick, but seriously, for the most part, no one gives a shit, other than those who are supposed to give a shit. But at this point it's even questionable whether they care to see all these photos.

Now I delete this email, and have since the month after the baby born, so I do not know what this child is capable of. Maybe I'm missing out. For all I know this 1 1/2 year old can do one handed hand stands, and standing back flips. I just feel like if that was the case it would have gotten back to me by now. I also suspect nothing amazing is happening because the photo they use in the email is one of child being held against mom's breast.

Anyway, again, no one gives a shit. I have enough kids I do care about, and I don't even want to see those pictures EVERY MONTH!
